FloodEx / Product
Moisture maps tied to the readings behind them.
A moisture map is only useful when the points on it match the readings in the drying log. FloodEx keeps the floor plan, the moisture points and the readings in the same job.
Floor plans for each level
Add a plan for each level of the property. Sketch rooms, walls, doors and windows on a grid, or start from a photo or uploaded image of an existing floor plan or emergency exit plan and trace over it as a reference layer.
Mark what you found
Mark affected and unaffected areas, the water source and migration or airflow arrows, then place numbered moisture points and equipment symbols where they are on site. Symbols for dry standard, containment and pressure are also available.
- Affected and unaffected areas
- Water source and migration arrows
- Numbered moisture points
- Equipment symbols such as dehumidifiers and air movers
Points linked to readings
Link each moisture point to a reading in the job, or log a new reading from the point itself. Linked and unlinked points are shown differently, so the map and the drying log can be checked against each other.
Plans in reports and share links
Floor plans are included in the job’s PDF report with a legend of the symbols used. Share links include plans only when that permission is switched on for the link.
Phone, iPad and desktop
Draw and review plans in the browser on a phone, iPad or desktop computer. Use touch to pan and zoom while you work on site.
An honest note on accuracy
Plans are sketches and are not drawn to scale. FloodEx does not scan rooms with LiDAR or measure dimensions; record measurements separately where they matter.

Common questions
Do I need a floor plan for every job?
No. A floor plan is optional. It helps when a job has several rooms, levels or moisture points that another person needs to find again. For a small single-room job, clear room names, photos and notes may be enough.
Does FloodEx certify drying?
No. FloodEx is documentation software. It records the plan, readings and notes your team enters; practitioners remain responsible for drying decisions, applicable standards and professional judgement.
Can I start from an existing plan?
Yes. Take a photo of a floor plan or emergency exit plan, or upload an image, and use it as a reference layer to trace over.
